Hi, I'm Megan Burnham. I am a (almost) 26 year old stay-at-home Mommy to two beautiful children. It is because of them that Memories & Blessings Photography came to be. I have lived in Roane County all my life and attended Oliver Springs High School - the home of the Bobcats. After high school, I attended Roane State Community College and then moved on to Tennessee Tech University where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I was blessed enough to meet my husband at my church while still in college and fulfilled a life long dream of marrying my Prince Charming. We were married on August 1, 2007 right before my Senior year in college. Once I graduated, God allowed me the opportunity to work in full-time Christian ministry as a 2nd grade teacher at Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy in Oliver Springs. I absolutely loved my job and being able to be a part of those children's lives on a daily basis. In February of 2009, I found out I was expecting our first child. I then knew that my teaching career would have to be put on hold. I wanted and needed to be home with my baby. I am so grateful that God allowed me to do so.
I had always loved photography and had always dreamed about being a photographer of my own business one day. In February of 2010 that dream would come true. One night after putting my precious baby boy to bed I began praying and asking God for wisdom and for guidance. A few nights later, I decided that I would take the plunge and make a Facebook page for a photography. I came to bed and told my husband, "I think I just started a business". We bought laughed a little, but little did I know the plans God had for me and Memories & Blessings Photography. In 2010, I photographed a little over 100 photo sessions and 4 weddings. In 2011, I photographed 105 sessions and 3 weddings (all while taking 3 months of maternity leave to have our second child). God has been so good! I have been so blessed to be able to stay at home with my babies yet be able to bring in some extra income to help our household.
I never would have dreamed the things God has allowed over the past two years. I can't wait to see what he has in store for me, my family and for Memories & Blessings Photography.
I now live in Oliver Springs with my husband of almost 5 years, Scott, my 2 year old, Eli, and our 8 month old daughter, Brianna. I am truly one blessed woman!
