The Mekelburg Family

I have been so excited to show everyone this adorable family's photos. I really fell in love with so many of them! It wasn't that my camera work was that amazing - it was that I believe each photo truly shows the love this family shares. Those little girls - oh my goodness - they are too cute! Olivia was really cold at times but it only took a few minutes for her smile to warm everyone up. Miss Alexa was precious as well. She was very talkative and we even got some smiles out of her. Adam and Heather, you have two beautiful little girls! Thank-you for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your sweet little family!

I hope the Mekelburgs love their photos as much as I do! Here are a few of my favorites from their family session this past Saturday. And don't forget to check out their video on the Memories & Blessings Facebook page!

I love that Olivia's eyes are closed real tight as she kisses her Daddy! How sweet!

PS - Happy 4th Birthday Miss Olivia! I hope you have an amazing party at the Bounce House!

Robbie & Kim

This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with Robbie and Kim at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens for a quick couple session. You can obviously tell that these two are deeply in love. The couple plans to get married this summer in an orange and camo themed ceremony! One of my favorite moments of the session was when they were sitting on some steps looking at each other. If you have had a session with me you know that I take multiple photos of the same pose. Well, I was just clicking away and after thirty seconds they couldn't stand looking at each other anymore without kissing. It was so sweet! I love photographing a couple in love!

Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Vann and best wishes to you both! Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Tuesday Around Town

Bradford Designs
By: Sarah Bradford

So, this week's "Tuesday Around Town" isn't really located in town. I wanted to highlight the awesome work of Sarah Bradford from Bradford designs. Sarah is located all the way in Pennsylvania but thankfully she can work with anyone located here via the internet and emails.

Sarah has been a friend of mine since we were in middle school. I never knew how good she was with a computer until I started teaching at our Christian school and she was working in our church Print Shop. She was always designing awesome fliers for the school and for various ministries of our church.

Sarah just recently provided me with a beautiful new logo! She also made my last logo (which was great as well). I was wanting some new and great and I think she outdid herself! I am completely in love with my logo and so thankful to have had a friend (and client) design it for me.
If you are in the need for any type of graphic design please shoot Sarah an email. You won't be disappointed! You can get more information about Bradford Designs by clicking here!

Girls Day Out ~ Photographer Style

For several weeks now I have wanted to get together with other photographers and just hang out. I was so excited to finally see it come together this past weekend. I had the opportunity to hang out with three wonderful ladies - Brandi of Brandi Major Photography, Brandie of Captured Moments Photography and Melinda of Photos by Melinda.

We started the afternoon at Panera Bread with a delicious lunch. Then after we had the opportunity to chit-chat for awhile we headed out to the Old City. This was my first time going down there and am not going to lie to you - I was a little scared at first, lol. The other ladies assured me I was safe and we went on with our photo session.

Being in front of the camera is not easy as a photographer. However, we all did a little bit of modeling and then was able to also go back to our natural state of being the photographer for other models. I had such a great time with these ladies, but most importantly I was able to learn some new things as well!

Take a look at a few of the favorites I photographed during our session.

Thanks to Melinda and Brandie for the photos I have used for my blog and website. Here are a few others they took.

Thank-you ladies for a wonderful (and windy) day!

MPCA's Class of 2012

I first got to know these young men when they were just Freshmen. I was their "Yearbook Supervisor" while I was teaching at Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy. I was honored to get to share this special moment with them as we shot their Senior photos. These are two of the most respectful teenage boys I have ever met. During our photo session I was showered with yes mams and thank-yous.

I know these boys are excited about the next chapter in their life. I have no doubt that they will do great things! Thank-you Caleb & Reed for being such a great role model for those younger than you. Thank-you for living for the Lord. Thank-you for allowing me the opportunity to be apart of this time of your life!

Good luck and Congratulations to the MPCA Class of 2012.
